Leaders in the Field of Re-Entry Programming
American University- American University's International Student and Scholar Offices offers a variety of "Transitioning Beyond AU" resources for international students, including workshops to prepare students for re-entry challenges, to teach them how to market themselves globally, and to discuss the strengths of a global hybrid identity. Workshops are a collaboration between ISS and a variety of on-campus offices and departments, including Career Services, the Counseling Center, the school of International Affairs, as well as international alumni.
University of Minnesota- The University of Minnesota's International Student and Scholar Services offers a range of on-going programming for their intonational student population. Their "Cross-Cultural Leadership Retreat" is designed to help international students become more effective in the global environment. They also have the "Minnesota Ambassadors Taking Campus Home (MATCH) Program," which offers international students a paid opportunity to share their experiences at University of Minnesota with potential students in their home country. Having the chance to share their experiences can help to ease the shock of re-entry while encouraging students to reflect meaningfully on their time abroad.
